IOTEQ is Craig's consulting vehicle and, increasingly, a product studio. Early engagements were classic product leadership: defining strategy and running third-party delivery for Shadow Mover, a customer journey platform for mortgage brokers, and introducing agile product management to What The Fork, a takeaway ordering and delivery app. The current work is broader and more hands-on: fixed-price web and WooCommerce builds and platform replacements for small businesses, audience-calibrated handover documentation, a market-management plugin for a Fife community market, and a growing practice in agentic AI workflows, data consolidation and BI automation. Most of it is now built through a plan-first, AI-assisted development workflow that Craig has been systematising into reusable skills.
Chief Technology Officer
Septillion Technologies
– present
Scotland
Septillion was founded on IP acquired from the Tullis Russell joint venture, and Craig secured its seed and follow-on funding on the strength of the business case. The first product was Physical to Digital® authentication: a unique identity read from the object itself with machine vision on ordinary mobile hardware, developed with Zebra Technologies into a bespoke smartphone capture accessory and protected by US 11,188,807 B2 (also granted in the EU and GB). The company then pivoted to traceability software for manufacturing and supply-chain provenance, winning a Scottish Enterprise digital trust challenge and delivering a production-ready proof of concept with a Scottish electronics manufacturer, securing a Boeing accelerator place and investment with scoping across several Boeing product teams, and leading a World Animal Protection ghost-gear traceability project in Indonesia. Discovery engagements have spanned electronics, luxury goods, retail, whisky, seafood, packaging and banking, including Amazon, Mastercard, La Poste, Smurfit Westrock and CHEP. Today Craig leads Ledgit, a multi-tenant SaaS traceability platform built to be IPC-1782 compliant, and represents the company on industry bodies and standards committees.
